RPG Maker MV 1.3 is here!
For Steam users, updates are automatic. If, however, the standalone version needs manual updating.
PIXI v4 Update
It’s not without its issues, the inevitable "update blues". But most notably is the large portions of code restructure, which renders many plugins incompatible. This is particularly noticeable with PIXI.

Many of the PIXI filters I used in Otherworld cause errors since updating. It’s not really a big deal going through and rewriting the code to fit; it’s just very time-consuming! Especially for those who have produced a LOT of plugins.
Encryption
One of the biggest, most beneficial, updates is being able to encrypt image and audio files. Without an encryption key, they can’t be accessed.

Splash Screen
Another cool addition in version 1.3 is a splash screen plugin, which shows before the Title Screen. This is certainly a welcome addition.

Update to V1.3.1
RPG Maker MV 1.3.1 apparently fixes some of the minor glitches that occurred in v1.3.0. To be honest, I haven’t noticed much difference, but maybe the same errors others encountered haven’t happened to me yet. I have yet to try this, so don’t know how it works. And this is certainly a welcome change from the previous implementation (through a third party) of encryption.
