I use GIMP to render most of my custom graphics and images for RPG Maker and Smile Game Builder projects. Corrupted Images Apparently, GIMP doesn’t like Smile Game Builder much. Images created, rendered, saved, exported and imported in SGB in exactly the same way as normal. Yet 50% of images become corrupted. Images saved with other graphics programs don’t "corrupt" this way when displayed in SGB. There have been a number of issues, it seems, with the Play Movie event command. Either they’re not playing or they’re not showing up in the event list, even though they’re in the movies folder. There IS no import function in RMMV, as there was in previous RPG Makers, so you now have to manually copy and paste "assets" (resources) into their respective project folders. The Problem The problem as I see it is that since RMMV supports much higher resolutions and can be used on multiple platforms, faster, higher quality graphics and sounds are almost certainly more of a requirement. It was recently brought to my attention that some of the Windowskins Tutorials weren’t working. They were redirecting to the old subdomain where they were hosted, which was taken offline, so it was returning a "Page Not Found" error. The subdomain was made temporarily available again, thereby giving the person who pointed out the error and me a chance to access the site. And, as I was browsing around the windowskins section on this blogsite, I also noticed a few more errors, which I will be fixing. It recently came to my attention when a friend asked me for some tech support regarding installing RMXP for the first time on his Windows 7 computer. When he installed the program and RTP, he encountered an “RPG Maker XP has stopped working” error.
